When there is a need to convert between various HEX data formats, the resulting file size might change, especially when dealing with Intel Hex and Motorola S-record formats.
Like decoded FLS files, such as those for Bosch ECMs and Aftertreatment Controllers, often contain a mix of hex data and binary padding (e.g. 5937033 \ 5012037 \ 5919229 \ 4798064)
Handling this conversion process requires a manual approach that includes cutting hex data, converting it to binary, making necessary modifications, and then converting it back to the original before encoding it back to FLS.
This process involves the use of third-party scripts and tools, and may not always yield the expected results and require additional skills.
Challenges may arise, particularly when ensuring that the output file size aligns with the original file size.
To address these challenges and provide a user-friendly and reliable solution, we’ve developed this tool.
